Clara was very serious about doing her "swim-ups" in the pool in Sanibel. These involved her submerging her head and crawling along the top step. Back and forth, back and forth.
She set up a little crowd at one end, whose job it was to cheer her on. Every time she'd get to that end of the step, she'd lift up her head and say "Good job, guys!"
If I came over to talk to her, she'd tell me to go away because she had to work very hard at her swim-ups. Seriously, she must have spent over an hour each day we were in the pool just going back and forth, back and forth.
